Mentors with proven experience in start-ups will guide you with first-hand tips on how to make a successful business. By Sunday, you’ll have the foundations for a functional start-up: the projects developed during the weekend will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

You can either pitch your own business idea or help a presenter develop their idea. From business guy to programmer to designer – everyone is welcome!

Christoph Jeschke
Managing Director, Co-Founder, AustrianStartups Over the last 10 years Christoph gained experience in the fields of arts and cultural management, private wealth management and online marketing. He is also a specialist in online marketing with a focus on Social Media and worked for two marketing agencies. In 2013 Christoph co-founded AustrianStartups with 5 fellow entrepreneurs to promote and support startups in Austria and since then plays an important role within the startup ecosystem.
Thomas Schranz
CEO & Cofounder, blossom.io Thomas dropped out of Software & Information Engineering at Vienna UT and built countless high traffic applications and campaigns on the Facebook platform. He is currently founder and CEO at Blossom, a project tracking service used by globally distributed companies like Twitter, Nasa, DriveNow and many more. Thomas spent the past years in San Francisco and thrives in environments that cherish the intersection of design, technology and distribution. He is into service design, user experience, positioning, product strategy, functional programming and tea.
Juergen Jelly
Founder & Consultant, itom invest GmbH Juergen is a serial entrepreneur in several industries, consultant, author, mentor and lecturer at the Institute of “Entrepreneurship and Innovation” at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. Starting at the age of 23 he founded different companies and gained a lot of experience in implementation and the operations of many industries all over the globe. He has developed products and services and commercialized them from China to the USA. Step by step he switched to the investment side and started “itom invest”, a company focusing on the niche between investors and projects, trying to help both sides to get together for the profit of all involved parties.

She co-founded the Girls n' Code initiative and is currently the CMO of the SmartNinja coding school.
Sasan Haji Hashemi
Director, Venionaire Capital Sasan Haji Hashemi is Director at the Venture Capital and Corporate Finance Advisory firm Venionaire Capital. He is responsible for screening and evaluation of ventures as well as research activities at Venionaire. Furthermore, he supports clients in deal structuring and financial engineering. Sasan speaks fluently English, German and Farsi. He studied financial and actuarial mathematics at the Vienna University of Technology and holds a higher-school diploma in information technology.

Florian Kandler
Entrepreneur, Co-Founder Ulmon GmbH Florian co-founded Ulmon GmbH, a leading mobile travel platform based in Vienna. He grew downloads from zero to 15 million and lead the efforts to raise over 1 million Euro from Oliver Samwer’s venture firm Global Founders Capital in 2014. Investment Manager, aws Gründerfonds Florian Resch joined aws Gründerfonds (aws Founders Fund) in 2015 as an Investment Manager. Prior to his appointment he was in charge of business development activities at Jollydays, where he gained operating experience as the co-founder of a web start-up. Until 2014, Florian Resch spent four years working in the area of M&A advisory, including for Ernst & Young. He studied international economic law in Vienna and Stanford.

Barbara Ondrisek
Co-Founder & CTO, Like A Hipster Dr. Barbara Ondrisek has worked for 15+ years as a software developer, mainly as freelancer in Austria. She studied at the Vienna University of Technology in Vienna where she wrote her PhD on electronic voting. Besides working for Austria's largest bank, she has developed different international web projects and (Android) apps and likes to speak at tech conferences.

Innovation-Service WKO Vienna Regina has many years of experience in consulting and supporting entrepreneurs in Vienna. Together with her team she supports entrepreneurs on their way from idea to market and provide fast expert advice on all business topics. 2015 they started the projekt  (called) „Innovation to Company“ which ist a Startup-Challenge - existing and aspiring companies or teams are generating new business that will bring benefits to everyone. Further they arrange the competition „Mercur“ which ist the Vienna Innovation Award.

Founder & Curator, TEDx Vienna The native-born Romanian launched his first company shortly after finishing his business studies in Bucharest. Vlad founded and developed TEDxVienna, one of the largest and most active innovation communities in Austria. In 2012 Vlad joined the successful Austrian incubator i5invest and co-founded the technology startup Adspired Technologies, that develops innovative marketing and e-commerce tools. Vlad is also a founding board member of Austrianstartups, an NGO focused on supporting and promoting startups in Austria.

Katharina Pühringer
Head of Innovations Scouting, CONDA Katharina Pühringer (Mag.) is Head of Innovations Scouting at CONDA, the leading Austrian Crowdinvesting Platform. She graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business in 2010, after spending her last term in Toronto, attending an Entrepreneurship MBA class at York University. In 2009, she co-founded StartEurope, the initiative that sparked the Startup Live activities. She then gained experience in international marketing and sales strategies for a big company group as well as IT project management know-how, which she now uses for identifying and evaluating innovative business models.
Bernhard Thalhammer
M&A and Investment Manager, Styria Digital Holding GmbH Within the investment portfolio of Styria Digital are some of the most successful startups in Austria such as www.willhaben.at, which is the largest marketplace in Austria for second hand goods. Bernhard has many years of experience in the Venture Capital industry and knows exactly what young companies should focus on to successfully attract external funding and successfully launch their product in the market.

Markus has already co-founded and managed a startup. He now works for a VC and is a real all-rounder with particular experience in venture capital.
Nina Woess
Speedinvest, Principal Nina joined Speedinvest in 2012 as a Principal after her studies in Strategic Management at WU. Part of Nina's job is the screening of several hundreds ambitious startups. She has a particular interest in working with early stage startups in the B2C space and is currently engaged in Flaviar and Inkitt.
