Welcome to the coolest Startup event in Tyrol and South Tyrol! Share your idea, build your team and get to work: life is short, so why wasting time? Give all you’ve got and create a new business from scratch in a weekend. In a unique atmosphere, people from various backgrounds come together and develop early business concepts.

Mentors with proven experience in start-ups will guide you with first-hand tips on how to make a successful business. By Sunday, you’ll have the foundations for a functional start-up: the projects developed during the weekend will be evaluated by a panel of judges.

Who are we looking for?

Early-stage startups:

You can pitch your business, get motivated people to join your team for the weekend and bring your startup to the next level.

People with ideas: 

You have a great idea but didn’t found yet? No problem -share your idea and form a team with like minded youngsters.

Corporate teams: 

Bring your innovation team to work on new ideas and get coached by an experienced WhatAVenture coach.

Motivated people: 

Whether your are a student or just interested in the startup scene, join a presenters team and help them develop their idea.

Daniel Horak
Co-Founder and COO, CONDA After graduating from his studies, Daniel founded his first startup in 2007, Spoken Language System. In 2012, he co-founded CONDA - the leading Austrian crowdinvesting platform - and is currently the managing director for marketing & sales. Daniel is very well connected in the Austrian startup community and also board member of AustrianStartups, a non-profit organization which supports startups in Austria.
Anton Grones
Interim manager and management consultant at SignPool Group AG Law Expert Anton Grones worked in management and partially also as managing partner in technology and high tech enterprises for 14 years. Since 2013 he works as a management consultant and interim manager for SignPool Group AG and mainly consults companies in critical stages. The main focus of his work is development and growth (especially in biotech startups, medical technology & mechatronics) as well as securing of financing. Anton is also a local representative for CONDA in Tyrol.
Alexander Koll
Destination Wattens Alexander is an international executive with many years of experience in the establishment of new business units with focus on the creative industry, its strategy development and the management of the day-to-day business.
Stefan Perkmann Berger
Co-Founder and Managing Director, WhatAVenture Stefan is the co-founder and managing director of WhatAVenture, a virtual tool to bring your idea to business reality. His focus is customer development and has tremendous know-how in how to develop a sounds business model.
Markus Gwiggner
Founder, Styleflasher.at After working as a snowboard instructor in the late 90`s Markus started to work in the it business. With 22 years (15 years ago) he founded www.styleflasher.at – the leading web-, app- and online agency in Tirol. He is an digital native and knows how to connect the market requirements with the world wide web. With www.buergermeldungen.com he is also founder of a start up for management of concerns and complaints (State price winner for eGovernment in the year 2013). Business networking, sales and online marketing are the special abilities he can put into start ups.
Erwin Gutlederer
European Patent Attorney CAST, Center for Academic Spin-Offs Tyrol EG is currently employed by CAST Gründungszentrum GmbH and thereby mentores High-tech projects. Trained as a theoretical physicist he has extensive knowledge in intellectual properties.
Olena Ivanyk
Business Analyst at JDI Industrial Innovation Management In the recent years Olena has worked in the fashion retail and education industries in Ukraine and Slovenia. Part of her international experience comes from participation on various marketing and new product development projects for UK based and international companies, while living in London. Among others she has collaborated on projects for Fly Emirates, Axa Wealth and Swarovski.
Thomas Ecker
Senior Investment Manager, tecnet equity As investment manager at tecnet equity, Thomas has been responsible for the acquisition and analysis of, and negotiation with prospective portfolio companies since June of 2003. He supports existing investments and monitors exits. In addition, Thomas is in charge of deal flow generation and sits on advisory boards of various portfolio companies.
Florian Lang
Founder & CEO of NEXT and Local Representative, AustrianStartups NEXT is a Tyrolean Agency for digital development, customized mobilization and Growth Hacking campaigns for companies, startups and public institutions. In 2013 Florian founded his first marketing company and in 2015 he bought rainyday Individual Clothing with two Stores in Innsbruck and Wörgl and support in addition various Startups and Creative Minds. Florian is also the Local Representative of the AustrianStartups in Tyrol.
Marcus Hofer
Head of the departement „investor services and funding programs“, Standortagentur Tirol Marcus studied law in Innsbruck with focus on IT-law. He is head of the departement „investor services and funding programs“ in the Standortagentur Tirol. He is also a lecturer at the MCI and the University of Innsbruck for IT-law and for entrepreneurship. Marcus started his own (small) company 1997 and has more than 10 years experience in mentoring of start-ups and companies on their way to establish their business in Tirol.
Clemens Plank
Founder & CEO Poool.cc After his IT-apprenticeship Clemens founded at the age of 18 his first company P&P Medien (now p&p marketing GmbH), a new media focused marketing agency. After 10 years he sold his shares and founded 2014 a new company named Poool Software & Consulting GmbH. Poool develops and provides a web based business software / ERP-system targeting challenges and needs of companies from creative economy.
Christian von Craushaar
Startup Consultant at CAST Christian worked many years as operations- and sales manager in international companies before he founded his own consulting business. He has a focus on business and operations development for innovative companies and is currently mentoring academic spin-offs and ystartup-teams at CAST- Center for Accademic Spin-Offs Tyrol.  
Winfried Winkler
Manager Technical Sales IT Industry During the last 20 years Winfried managed technical sales teams for US and Israel based software companies across Europe. Today the enterprise software market for data center automation is highly competitive. His focus in his daily work was to define the business value and unique selling point of each offering. He brings also a lot of experience around pricing models and service offerings along. Winfried studied Telematik and Economics at Technical University of Graz.
Raimund Kuess
Project Manager, h&z Business Consulting Raimund is an international business consultant with 12 years of experience in the development and improvement of business models, business strategies and reorganisation. Additionally Raimund brings in legal know-how in foundation-related topics like company law, tax law and trade law.
Michael Sieb
Founder TiRoLab and goMedics, CoCoach C hoch 3 Tirol, Project Manager iSYS Medizintechnik GmbH Michael has a strong background in engineering and medicine with several years experience in Life Science, research, clinical trials, surgery, mechatronics, high-tech, education and creative industries.Tyrolean innovation prize 2012, Social Impact Start 2013 and future of Tirol 2015 award winner.
Harald Oberrauch
CEO Tyrolean Business Angels GmbH & Board Member Durst Phototechnik AG Harald Oberrauch received the master’s degree in 2006 at the University of Bologna in Business Administration. He played for two seasons, from 1995-1997, professional Ice hockey for “Milano 24“. After that he was CEO of „Trend Event” from 1999-2003, a small company for event management. From 2002-2006 he decided to become coach and business administrator of the „Ferrara Hockey“, a sport company in the first and second Italian division. The period of account manager at “Baker tilly-Revisa” started from 2006 and ended in 2009. In 2009 and 2010 he did some specific courses at the London Business School for business development, market strategies and executive education strategies. Further on he participated at the London school of English some purposely-selected course in business language and negotiation. In 2010 he became member of the board of directors of “Durst Phototechnik AG” and “Alupress AG”. In 2014 he founded as the ongoing CEO the “TBA-Tyrolean Business Angel”.
Wieland Alge
CEO Baracuda Europe Wieland is responsible for all business activities of Barracuda Networks in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Previously he was CEO and Co-Founder of phion AG, which was merged with Barracuda Networks in 2009. He is very experienced in the conceptualization and implementation of international security projects. In 2008 he received the award "Entrepreneur of the Year" by Ernst & Young.
Christoph Feichtenschlager
International business developer, entrepreneur and business angel International projects and positions with eg. Daimler, Bosch, Siemens, Swarovski, UniCredit, CA-Investmentbank in strategy development and new business realization make Christian a valuable partner for the start up community. He is a driver for new ideas and break through innovations combined with a focus on efficiency and is known as a motivating leader. “Not the foundation and the start of a company is the challenge. The sustainability and growth – approach from the beginning is the secret of success!”
Florian Becke
CEO, CAST The biologist Dr. Florian Becke has been the CEO of CAST since 2013 and was a start-up and patent consultant at CAST for nine years. He specializes in the areas of life sciences, business model development and intellectual property rights. Prior to his career with CAST, Florian worked with the Frauenhofer company in technology transfer and IPR management. He has a very broad network in both the academic and business environment. Florian is distinguished by many years of experience in establishing businesses and the exploitation of research results.
