ALUMNI INSIGHTS WITH MARKUS KOBLMÜLLER, CEO OF TEAMECHO
TeamEcho is an intelligent and easy-to-use online tool to measure and improve workplace climate and employee happiness. We also call it a mood parameter for companies.
WHAT PROBLEM DO YOU SOLVE?
The problem we are solving is between employees and their managers. If y ask your stuff as a manager about how they feel then you get the feedback: “Okay” or “I’m fine, thanks”. But you hardly ever get honest feedback.
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THE IDEA?
We came up with this idea about three years ago, when we saw this problem in the communication between employees and their managers. We thought this shouldn’t be a problem any longer in the 21st century with modern communication channels.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST PROUD OF?
I think I’m most proud of our customer references such as Ernst & Young, Doka, epunkt which trust in our service.
THE MOST VALUABLE LESSON FROM A SUL EVENT?
I think the most valuable thing I’ve learned from a Startup Live event is that you should talk to as many people as you can about your idea because you get so much valuable feedback, especially from the mentors. They have great mentors, and your product or service or business model gets even better from their feedback.
YOUR ADVICE FOR EARLY STAGE STARTUPS?
My advice for future entrepreneurs would be to try as much as you can and experiment. Because if it’s not the right idea at the moment or the right project you are following now, the next one will be or will have big a chance to succeed. Because no followed project is a wasted time: either you have success or you learn.
