Thomas is a professor for Geoinformatics at the University of Salzburg. He acts as a business angel and mentors for several startups in Austria and Germany. Currently, he is involved as a shareholder in nine companies most of them building on geospatial information and services including Earth observation, GNSS, spatial analytics and location-based services including indoor location services. Professor Blaschke is also the shareholder of startup300, the largest private startup accelerator programme in Austria and member of professional business angel and technology transfer organizations.
