Burkhard is an electrical engineer and he studied at the Technical University of Graz. He is a patent examiner and does research in the patent databases in order to find out whether to grant a patent or not. He is also involved in informing the public about what we do at the Austrian Patent Office, in giving technical support to patent applicants, and in giving patent talks and patent search workshops.
