Michaela is co-founder of MATЯ, an award-winning circular economy startup based in Vienna
offering an innovative mattress-as-a-service solution to hotels. She has a background in
international business and entrepreneurship from the University of Strathclyde Business School
and a micromasters in the Circular Economy from Wageningen University. She was awarded as
an MIT Innovator Under 35 2022 and has previous experience leading social impact and
innovation projects for global brands and startups as a senior innovation consultant at Pioneers,
and as partnerships manager at the internationally acclaimed social enterprise, WildHearts
Group.
